Die Gewinner der British Hairdressing Awards 2020

Bei den British Hairdressing Awards gingen in verschiedenen Kategorien insgesamt 18 SiegerInnen hervor. Sally Brooks gewann zum dritten Mal die Kategorie „Best British Hairdresser“ und in der Kategorie Internationale Kollektion gewann der Kanadier Silas Tsang.

Die ultimative Auszeichnung des Abends gewann Sally Brooks, Miteigentümerin von  Brooks  & Brooks  Hair in  London, die zur britischen Friseurin des Jahres 2020 gekürt wurde. Ihre Siegerkollektion  "2020 WTF"  wurde auf Friseurpuppenköpfen gestylt und war Sallys Art zu beweisen, dass die  Friseure  eine neue Arbeitsweise finden und etwas schaffen, das kreativ und einzigartig ist, egal was auf sie  zukommt.  

Zum dritten Mal gewann ►Sally Brooks die Kategorie British Hairdresser of the Year. Schon 2017 und 2018 gewann sie die gleiche Kategorie. Sally überzeugte mit technischen Skills und ihren kreativen Versionen.

Die Kategorie International Collection of the Year 2020 gewann der Kanadier Silas Tsang, von Blushes Hair Salon in Ottawa. Er setzte sich gegen die starke Konkurrenz von bekannten StylistInnen durch und eroberte den Spitzenplatz mit seiner ►chicen Kollektion der hart umkämpften Kategorie.

Zweimal von einer Jury aus Friseurlegenden und Mitgliedern der British Hairdressing Awards Hall of Fame beurteilt, ergatterte Silas den Status der besten internationalen Kollektion, nachdem er phänomenale Original-Haararbeiten ausarbeitete, die nicht nur technisches Können, sondern auch kreatives Sehen und Verständnis aktueller Trends zeigten.

Die HairstylistInnen nominiert für den British Hairdresser of the Year Award 2020 waren:

  • Adam Reed, session stylist and salon owner, a colourful, skilful character bridging consumer and hairdressing worlds
  • Angelo Seminara, four times winner and one of the most captivating and original hair stylists of our time
  • Cos Sakkas, third time nominee, an artistic talent and a legend within Toni & Guy
  • Darren Ambrose, previous British Hairdresser of the Year winner 2015, a leader within session styling and hairdressing alike
  • Errol Douglas, MBE, honoured by Her Majesty the Queen for services to hairdressing
  • Gary Hooker and Michael Young, (Hooker & Young) 12th consecutive nomination for British Hairdresser of the Year and hairdressing’s most famous duo, stage-stars, creative inspiration and talented educators 
  • Richard Ashforth, first time nomination, well renowned in the hairdressing industry for his directional, forward thinking ideas and his belief in simplicity and commitment to beauty
  • Rob Eaton,British Hairdresser of the Year 2019 and one of the most current and renowned colourists and stylists of the moment
  • Sally Brooks, two times winner of British Hairdresser of the Year (2017 & 2018), Sally is a global star and national hero following her hairdressing documentary that is reaching educational settings and parents across the UK
